My name is Sarah Golding, and I live between Bali, Australia and New Zealand. I have been travelling to Bali for more than 30 years and I am passionate about Bali and its beautiful people.

Why Bali Footprints?

My business was conceived and has evolved from trying to find Bali villas to rent and also people asking me how they too can rent a Bali villa. My past experience has been that I have been shown and booked beautiful villas online with details’ about extra’s included, only to arrive and find they are nothing like I was promised and being totally ripped off and having terrible holidays!! I have stayed in losmens, cheap and expensive hotels and villas. Now I know the only way is to stay in your own private villa, but I found it really hard to access them. This is why I have started my business to help people find a reasonably priced Bali villa and know that they will not be ripped off!!

Hand Picked Bali Villas

I have driven around and handpicked the Villas that I would be more than happy to stay in. I have inspected every one of the Villas and met the owners or the managers and staff, I feel sure they will give great service and help their guests with anything they need or may help with.

If you require a villa in a particular area that isn’t on this website, I will try to find a villa there for you.

To have a villa to yourselves with your own pool, kitchen, lounge and beautiful big bedrooms and bathrooms with staff is the way to go.

Cheaper than Hotels

If you have family or friends to share it with you, it is the best, cheapest and most fun way to holiday and it is a much cheaper alternative to hotels.

Enjoy Balinese Hospitality

You will have a maid who will keep your villa clean and most of the villas provide a breakfast. If you would like them to cook any other meals for you, please talk to your maid about what you feel like, the cost and availability. They are able to go out and buy the food and cook a beautiful meal for you, while you just chill in your own villa. ‘How relaxing is that?’

I can provide babysitters, drivers, guides, a car, if you are feeling adventurous enough to drive yourself. Driving a car or riding a bike in Bali is a real experience,but great fun if you drive slowly and carefully but definitely not for the faint hearted!!

Giving Back to Bali

Bali is a 3rd World country, with many people living in real poverty. I pay all my staff a fair wage and try to look after their families as they have become my family as well. I also encourage all visitors to Bali to tip everyone you deal with, it may not be a lot to you but you will be helping a whole family when you do.

I also ask all visitors, if willing, to use your luggage allowance to bring any unwanted clothes, toys, pencils, paper etc to give to the people of Bali, as it will be treasured by a very grateful Balinese. Please don’t think they will be insulted as they are truly grateful that you have made the effort. If in doubt what to do with your treasures, ask your maid, driver or just about anyone you come in contact with, they will be so happy and definitely find a home for it.
